Perry’s artwork is filled with joyful colours, evoking a child-like sense of wonder.
Fanciful creatures play on abstract landscapes, with just a hint of something darker beneath the surface.
The work is characterized by its intense rainbow hues and deep sense of freedom.
After an adulthood diagnosis of ADHD Perry has been on a journey to re-learn who she is. Her recent works reflect this new chapter in her life.
Perry creates her works on any surface within reach. She uses various media, including painting, sculpture, found objects, and digital art.
Anita studied Art at Plymouth University and graduated in 2009.
Using her own lived experience of anxiety & depression, and working with mental health professionals, Anita has gone on to build an established brand & community; Sugar & Sloth, around her artwork.
Sugar & Sloth is on a mission to:
- Show those struggling they are not alone.
- Provide therapy tools that are aesthetically pleasing, and a joy to use.
- Nurture a supportive & uplifting community.
Sugar & Sloth is a safe space for those struggling with mental health issues, and the neurodiverse community.
During the pandemic of 2020, Anita started creating original paintings and clay artworks, as a new way to connect and share emotions with others.
